Ronald Richardson

My name is Ron, and I am the Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Partner at Vista Investment Partners. In addition to these roles, I have the responsibility of shaping the firm’s investment strategies as the Chief Investment Officer. My primary duties include overseeing the investment strategies for Vista and advising clients on their investments. Since 1984, I have dedicated my career to the financial services industry, previously gaining valuable experience at Raymond James.

Throughout my career, I held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation for nearly 20 years, which greatly enriched my understanding and approach to financial planning. My academic journey began at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a focus on economics and accounting.

My mission has always been to provide active investment management and comprehensive financial guidance, allowing my clients to enjoy their wealth without the burden of constant oversight. I am deeply motivated by my commitment to clients’ financial well-being. Meeting their financial goals and building lasting relationships brings me immense satisfaction. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing my clients exceed their expectations and make significant financial progress.

Just as climbers rely on seasoned guides to conquer challenging peaks, I believe those with significant wealth deserve the expertise of a seasoned portfolio manager. I am dedicated to developing a trusting business structure tailored to the needs of my clients. The greatest value I can offer is confidence and clarity, ensuring my clients feel secure about their financial future. By focusing on doing what’s right, I create an environment where clients can trust me and my team, allowing them to sleep well at night.

I primarily reside in Oklahoma City but spend my summers in Wyoming, where I indulge in my passion for fly fishing in Jackson Hole. Hiking in the local canyons also invigorates me, and I recently completed a 7-8 mile hike, which was both challenging and rewarding. Outside the office, I serve on the Board of Trustees for Southwestern College, a role I am passionate about as it allows me to give back to the institution that shaped my education. I also support various nonprofits, offering my service and financial contributions whenever possible.

I have been happily married to Dinky for 11 years, and her three children have become an integral part of my life. My sisters, Vicki and Sherry, remain close to my heart, and my upbringing in a modest farming family in Kansas has instilled a strong work ethic and dedication to client service. I still identify as a “Kansas farm boy” at heart.
